We mainly focus on Working Kelpies and the Working Line Border Collies for what we do. However we'd like to introduce a few different types of Working breeds from a variety of fields.
WORKING KELPIE

Kelpies are decended from the british collie, the Rutherford or North Country strain. They were first recognised as a breed in the 1870s. Kelpies are ideally suited for the harsh conditions of the Australian Outback.
They are intelligent, hard working and have proven themselves to be a versatile working breed not only within Australia.
There are two different lines of Kelpies, the Australian Kelpie (Show Kelpie) and the Australian Working Kelpie which is purely selected for working ability.
Kelpies have a natural instinct to work stock.Kelpies naturally circle stock and try to move life stock back towards the handler. Training a Kelpie means being in the right position, at the right time.

BORDER COLLIE

Border Collies are said to descend from reindeer herding dogs that were brought to Scotland by Viking invaders, which were later crossed with Valée Sheepdogs.
The breed was developed in the border country between England and Scotland. The breed also used to be referred as the Scotch Collie or Scotch Sheepdog.
The Border Collie has become very popular in the show ring.

New Zealand Huntaway

Huntaways are used throughout New Zealand to drive and manage the massive flocks of sheep in difficult hilly country. They are large, strongly built dogs with a loud voice. Huntaways are trained primarily to drive the sheep ahead of or away from the handler.
The Huntaways biggest asset is its bark. The key to having a reliable and good working Huntaway lays in the handlers abilities of training dogs and stockman ship.
Unlike Kelpies or Border Collies a Huntaway does not have a natural instinct to round up stock and bring it back to the handler. They are being trained by their handler to respond to a serious of commands and whistles that all have a specific meaning.
By directing the dog into the right position and teach it to bark when needed, the stockman can achieve good movement of livestock through the help of this powerful working dog.

AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG
Australian cattle dogs, also known as Blue Heelers or Hall's Heelers are a robust, compact and very active breed. Their genetic origin contains Black Bobtail and Dingo (to eliminate barking) as well as Kelpie, Blue Merle Collie and Dalmatian. Cattle dogs work differently to Kelpies and Border Collies as they are heeling dogs. They have a strong guarding instinct and tend to have a lot of bite when working on stock.
